Portugal-Algarve

The Algarve - when Britain begins to shiver, the Algarve is still bathed in warm sunshine. Ideal in October/ November and March  for walking, warm yet not too hot to enjoy striding out along the coast or in the St Vincent National par or the Monchique mountains.

We have chosen this time of year - in late October or early November - to get  a little sun in before winters chill, and March - as we emerge from the cocoon of winter, the Algarve is a riot of spring flowers and the sunshine just bathes you and seduces you to relax.

Super hotels, relaxed walking, good company and food.  Join our walking  break and be invigorated .

The Algarve is kissed by the Gulf stream, keeping it warm all the year round, The walking is excellent - besides the spectacular and dramatic coastline, the interior is varied, with a number of landscapes. The local flora varies from area to area - from the Monchique mountains to the rolling foothills and dramatic limestone escarpments. We base ourselves in the western part of the Algarve - some of the walks really are secret. All the more interesting for that.

What Others Said...

Dear Chris and AlanJust a few lines to reiterate how very much we both enjoyed the recent trip to Slovenia. We had the most fantastic week and loved every single moment - yes, even the afternoon marooned in the thunderstorm in Lublijana! It was brilliant from start to finish. The beautiful country itself and 'our' exquisite area, the lovely hotel, food and attention, the super walking with our two wonderful guides, your excellent planning and constant kindness, the amazing weather and, of course, the companionship of such a super group of fellow walkers. Each and every day we had such fun and shared such laughter. It was an absolute joy. Thank you so much for all your hard work.Best regards and good luck for the futureLin and John Chesshire, Dorset P.S. Sorry we were such a rowdy bunch!!!
